Assistant Professor in Chemistry

Brescia University, a Catholic liberal arts university in the Ursuline tradition, seeks a broadly-trained individual for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Chemistry to begin August 2023. Applicants must have a minimum of a Ph.D. degree and show a commitment to undergraduate education. The successful applicant will demonstrate ability or willingness to teach both majors and nonmajors chemistry with primary duties in Organic Chemistry and the candidate’s area of specialization; other courses offered as needed to support both the major and minor. The successful candidate will maintain teaching labs and chemical inventory, serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer, advise students and serve on committees. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in current STEM pedagogy and chemical hygiene in a lab setting. The department encourages and fosters creative teaching.
