A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .:
  • Oversees and participates in the daily operations of the Produce and Fresh Prep department both with and in the absence of the department manager
  • Ensures adherence to all food safety/HACCP/Sanitation Requirements
  • Ensures all product quality, trimming, cutting and packaging specs are consistent and reliable
  • Provides and demonstrates excellent customer service skills and behaviors
  • Assists in the maintenance of retail price integrity & accuracy
  • Monitors all aspects of receiving, billing, quantity, quality, grade, food safety, returns and credits for accuracy
  • Ensures products and display areas meet or exceed “Ready for Business” standards
  • Develops and communicates creative & aggressive merchandising plans on a weekly basis
  • Trains new department employees & writes department schedule
  • Leads by example
  • Responsible for department sales & labor budget, grosses, and reports
  • Writes & sends orders and plans promotions, and ensures proper signage on all products
  • Maintains inventory management procedures for the department
  • Updates the POS department on price changes
  • Maintains department cleanliness, product freshness, & variety
  • Stays current with industry trends, standards and changes
  • Stays current with all training including online training and professional development opportunities
  • Ensures the dissemination of and adherence to all company and department policies
  • Supports and follows sustainability programs
  • Supports and follows all safety and security policies
  • Demonstrates attitude of service to co-workers and customers
  • Operates within the Company’s Core Values and Company Brand
THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .:
  • Produce/Foodservice experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must possess an attitude of service to others
  • Must have strong knife/cutting equipment skills and cooking/food knowledge
  • Must have understanding of process controls, product flow and quality assurance standards
  • Must work towards maximizing total overall store sales
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Displays excellent work ethic
  • Flexibility to work mornings/afternoons/evenings/weekends/holidays
  • Exemplifies health department standards
  • Emphasis on selling and merchandising/creativity
  • Good communication skills. Excellent record keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a diverse group of customers, employees, and leadership
  • Must possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by example
  • Willingness to take calculated risks to maximize sales
  • Must possess intermediate or higher computer skills including MS Office
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Visionary, leader, team player with good follow through and people skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching) and have excellent manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment
Entry Level Compensation: USD $24.90/Hr. Maximum Compensation: USD $25.90/Hr.
