SUMMARY

The Assistant Planner responsible for facilitating sales and demand/merchandise planning processes. The scope of responsibilities will cover both seasonal and replenishment planning for multiple customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate weekly reports related to sales, stock, markdowns and TY vs. LY vs. Plan comparisons.
  • Collaborate with sales to analyze class and location sales trends.
  • Work with the team to create a demand plan for replenishment products at the style, color size level.
  • When necessary, assist with replenishment buys and analyses.
  • Participate in the market process: assist with class plans, SKU plans, and post market recaps.
  • Implement allocation strategies that support financial plans, brand objectives and the efficient use of inventory
  • Allocate merchandise at style/color/size level
  • Review historical sales trends and strategically react to changes in the business.
  • Other tasks as directed by management.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Google Drive/Applications, Excel and Word
  • Level of understanding of retail math
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Be a self starter and have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to set priorities to accomplish tasks at hand.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Up to 1 year of industry experience and or a relevent internship

The hourly range for this role in the state of New York is $28.85-$36.23 an hour (the salary offered will be commensurate with experience)
