Our merchandising team is constantly building brands, starting trends, and developing entirely new product categories. And our merchants don’t stop at selection—they bring the assortment to life through breakthrough curation and storytelling across our stores and digital properties.


Your role at Sephora:

As an Assistant Merchant, .com you will report to the Merchant, .com and:

  • Assistant the Merchant to execute the online strategy to drive sale sales for the brand portfolio through owned marketing channels, inclusive of email, site, and mobile. Regularly report on performance
  • Work closely with brands and merchandise coordinator to review deliverables and timelines for product launches, ensuring receipt of on-time, accurate, and conversion-driving product page assets
  • Partner with retail merchants and inventory team to manage shipping issues with brands, review dot com productivity, and manage regular maintenance of assortments
  • Own the creative review process for all digital placements within the brand portfolio, ensuring accurate product representation across vehicles.
  • Work with the e-commerce team regularly on onsite enhancements and special projects
  • Develop expertise in online merchandising and related best practices by staying current with trends and competition

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 2-3 years of retail buying experience at a major retailer
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with comfort presenting to large groups
  • Excellent technical skills – MS Office (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint); merchant systems
  • Passion for retail, product, and trends
  • A strong numbers aptitude and analytical skills with a drive for results
  • A demonstrated ability to negotiate and exert influence
  • An ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast pace, complex environment
  • A positive and collaborative attitude


The target annual base salary range for this position is $83,000.00 - $92,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
