ASSISTANT MANAGER - Brookline (ADULT-USE CANNABIS STORE)

Sanctuary Medicinals in Brookline is looking for the perfect Assistant General Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate, a team-builder and ready to launch our store to new heights by working alongside leadership to build a dynamic and engaging vibe with staff and customers while managing and enhancing the bottom-line. The AGM will be responsible for building customer and staff relationships and will assist the GM in daily operations to achieve sales, service, cultural and operational goals.

OVERVIEW

The Sanctuary Medicinals Brookline Assistant General Manager is responsible to work collaboratively as part of a highly motivated leadership team to help manage Sanctuary's flagship Brookline location. The AGM will assist in managing all of the day-to-day operating requirements of the retail store and in accordance with professional guidelines, operational protocols and quality standards established by the Company. Additionally, we are looking for an experienced management candidate who has a strong background in METRC, inventory management, customer service and leadership and training know-how.

This position shares responsibility in developing and maintaining a highly motivated leadership team to deliver the best customer service and education in every interaction. The AGM must maintain a professional appearance, organized work environment and facility appearance. The AGM will provide support to all Register Sales Team members, Receptionists, Security Team members, and other positions held throughout the operation. Under the direction of the Regional Dispensary Coordinator and GM, the AGM will oversee staff-customer interaction, staff morale, staff training, regulatory updates, Company news, industry trends, sales, mix product requirements, forecasting, transport coordination with the Littleton manufacturing facility and sanitation. Ensure that the Company’s diversity and inclusion staffing targets are met and further advanced.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    *Two years of successful managerial experience in the cannabis, retail or food and beverage industry *Full understanding of the Adult-Use cannabis regulations in Massachusetts *Excellent communication skills both orally and written *Ability to multi-task with effective time-management skills *Performs well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment *POS software operational and reporting experience *Flexible schedule for a 7 day a week operation *Must be no less than 21 years of age *Must pass a criminal background check as required by the CCC and with no felony convictions

DESIRED SKILLS

    *Previous Inventory Management Experience and comprehensive knowledge of METRC *Previous retail management experience *Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent industry experience *Cash handling and POS cash drawer reconciliation experience *Opening and closing operational experience *Spanish/English Bi-lingual

KEY JOB DUTIES

    *Maintain store culture and overall staff and customer satisfaction *Responsible for both opening and closing the store and retaining all necessary keys and codes to operate the store. *Must be dependable and reliable *Ensure all safety and compliance regulations are followed by all staff *Responsibilities in cash handling and product management *Hold “shift meetings” to inform staff of important daily information *Assist with employee timesheets *Active role in the interview process and training. *Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations in conjunction with the General Manager *Assists the General Manager in creation of, amendment of, and enforcement of all standard operation procedures as regulations require *Assists with inventory, inventory control procedures, and cash handling protocols *Maintains accurate records of all business activities including cash reconciliations, sales records, and returns as required both by Sanctuary and the State of Massachusetts *Performs duties of all other positions below assistant manager; fills any staffing need when necessary *Attendance required at all announced manager meetings. This position may be required to hold meetings for other staff, create input for specials, events, pop ups and all-around education for staff and public *Works closely with the Town of Brookline, the Brookline Chamber of Commerce, the neighborhood retailers or other entities as approved by Executive Management in promoting goodwill or addressing community needs.

JOB SCOPE

This role follows established policies and procedures and works in partnership with the retail and security teams to ensure the safety and security of the staff and customers. The AGM assists with the merchandising, operations, and execution of store and company standards in addition to resolving both associate and customer concerns. The AGM will be responsible for building customer relationships and will develop overall store strategies and tactics to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
