• Island View Cottages is looking for an assistant Innkeeper who will report to the manager. This is a part-time position - 20/week. Must have friendly personalities, impeccable communication skills and an unwavering commitment to providing guests with an exceptional and memorable experience.

At Island View, our team members are our most important resource, and our Innkeepers are at the forefront of our customer experience. There will be plenty of hands-on exposure to people from all over the world and your first responsibility will be to greet guests as they arrive and provide 5-star service so that they are happy from the moment they step into Island View Cottages until long after they are gone.

We are seeking to fill in the assistant Inn Keeper position.

Areas of responsibilities include:

• Welcome guests in a personal, warm and friendly way, register them in the computer system and immediately solve any encountered challenges in a way that exceeds their expectations.
• Inform the guest about the property and its amenities in detail as you personally escort them to their cottage
• Be always readily available and easily visible to guests. Obtain guest feedback often and be always aware of their level of satisfaction during their stay.
• Answer phones in a professional, yet friendly manner. Take reservations.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of room availability, property features and services and packages including policies, dress code and ambience, room types, top repeat guests, rate programs and daily activities.
• Respond to all email inquiries in a timely, professional manner within the hour.
• Anticipate critical situations and assist guests expediently in a friendly manner. Stay calm under pressure, remain professional and courteous.
• Clean rooms when needed.
• Provide Concierge assistance., Maintain a thorough knowledge of local activities and restaurants. Make suggestions for fun things to do, provide sample itineraries and reservations for guest activities as requested.
• Be available to help with special occasions.
• Report to Inn Keeper for daily tasks.
• Tidy office and common areas each morning and night before locking up.
