Summary:

Gan Shelanu Preschool is seeking assistant infant and early toddler teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. Gan Shelanu is Adath Jeshurun Congregation’s early childhood program for children aged six weeks through pre-kindergarten. The Gan provides a rich variety of learning experiences intended to stimulate the cognitive and social development of children within a Jewish context. We work to instill in our students' pride in their heritage, the importance of community and love of giving back.

Gan Shelanu is looking for a passionate, energetic, patient and hardworking individual to assist as a teacher in our Infant and Transitional Toddler rooms. The ideal candidate must love working with Infants aged children and their families.

Location:

Minnetonka, MN

Pay:

$15-$17 per hour depending on experience and education

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents

• Collaborate with other early childhood educators

• Help maintain a clean classroom consistent with health and safety standards

• Provide basic needs for children including assisting with toileting and changing diapers

• Technology savvy, able to navigate and use a device to document and monitor routines of the children

• Supervising nap rooms

• Attend workshops and continuing education opportunities and seek continual feedback and coaching to develop as a teacher

• Attend staff meetings and other programs as assigned

• Act as a steward of the school in the larger community

• Flexible and resilient with schedule and duties

Job Requirements:

• Able to sit on the ground and lift 20 + lbs.

• Work as a member of a team

• Provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19

• Must adhere to the center’s behavior guidance policies at all times

• Willingness to complete other duties as assigned
