The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for assisting in, and sometimes leading activities relating to the management and execution of the of the facilities daily golf operations. This position reports to the General Manager.

Experience Required

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of current golf vendors and their current equipment
• Basic computer skills
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Retail knowledge
• Customer Service Skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years’ experience as an assistant (Preferred)
• Competitive playing/tournament golf experience (preferred)

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training, and supervision of all inside personnel.
• Assist in training staff on new products, procedures, and pricing.
• Responsible for opening and closing procedures, selling golf shop merchandise to customers, handling credit transactions, answering phones, interacting with members and guests, and providing information and handling requests and complaints with a positive attitude and in a friendly, professional manner. Assists with inventory control, maintains the cleanliness of the golf shop and ensures the merchandise displays are properly stocked and organized.
• Be fully knowledgeable of golf shop merchandise. Sell merchandise and/or provide suggestions to members and guests as appropriate to meet their needs. Assist with special merchandise orders.
• Answer phones, always maintain pleasant and professional telephone manner.
• Provide outstanding customer service to all guests.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the facility.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
