The Hayden is gearing up to open a second location in the Alon shopping center and is looking for an Assistant General Manager to help open the new spot and help run the day to day operation of what we think is the most kick-ass and fun diner/old school delicatessan. This is a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to understand the big picture. If you have ever thought about opening your own restautant, this can give you some of the skills and knowledge to confidently pursue that - or the confidense to run as far in the opposite direction as you can! The successful candidate should have approximately two years of restaurant management/leadership experience and not be afraid to lead his or her team.

Must be knowledgable about food and have a real interest in supporting local restaurants (if you eat at Applebee's and Olive Garden on the regular, this might not be the place for you - no offense).

Responsibilities:

• Carry out administrative functions to the highest standards - we don't want to have to micromanage.
• Set FOH labor schedules and oversee inventory.
• Oversee the front-of-house team and ensure training systems are in place to deliver top of class hospitality (we are a diner, but we don't half-ass anything).
• Successfully execute marketing campaigns that increase popularity of the Hayden brand.
• Help manage vendors and suppliers.
• Contribute ideas and think out of the box.
• Work with the bar and kitchen team to grow revenue and control costs.
