Assistant Executive Housekeeper Job at HSH Group

The Peninsula New York is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper that will support the Executive Housekeeper on the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department. In this role the Assistant Executive Housekeeper will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the rooms and hotel public spaces are well maintained, and up to par for our guests to have an enjoyable stay.


Key Accountabilities:


  • In the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, responsible for the housekeeping department operations and related areas.
  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper with implementing policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public and back-of- the-house areas in accordance with policy and procedures of the Peninsula Hotel.
  • Inventory control of all guest and cleaning supplies.
  • Maintain good communication with all housekeeping personnel and other hotel departments.
  • Review staffing levels for the day and adjusts according to forecasts.
  • Assigns special projects and V.I.P.’s to housekeepers according to their assigned rooms.

General Requirements:


  • 3-5 years’ experience in housekeeping in a luxury hotel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills including time management and managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to train, develop, and motivate housekeeping employees.
  • Ability to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job to complete assigned duties.
