Job Title: Assistant Events Coordinator

Job Status: Part time, Seasonal (w/ potential to grow into a year-round part time position)

Pay Rate: $15.00 / hr

Job Summary: This is an entry-level position with some supervisory duties.

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Assist Events Coordinators with admin and office work.
  • Assist Events Coordinators with appointment setting and correspondence.
  • Help train and oversee frontline event staff as needed/assigned.
  • Work weekday, weekend, and after-hours events as needed.
  • Provide assistance and support for private and public events, including but not limited to event set up and breakdown.
  • Supervision of frontline employees during events.
  • Ensure guest and frontline compliance with Tracy Aviary policies.
  • Run errands for events as needed or assigned.
  • Maintain working knowledge of equipment and supplies used for private and public events.
  • Help manage our stock of rental items. Ensure completion of item inventories and maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain stock of clean and properly folded linens for event usage.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as needed or assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Willingness to follow and enforce Tracy Aviary’s rules and company culture. Ability to work with children and adults from all backgrounds comfortably. Must have supervisory, admin, events, and customer service experience or interest. Preference given to candidates with at least 1 year of customer service and/or supervisory experience.


Comments:

This position will involve some heavy lifting, and will require setting up rental items such as tables and chairs. Cleaning of hazardous materials such as broken glass and spills may occur. Must be able to work rotating shifts that include some morning/day, night, and weekend shifts. This role is seasonal but there is an opportunity for this role to grow into a year-round position for the right candidate. Employees in this role are expected to contribute 15 - 25 hours of work per week with some day (starting as early as 8 AM), some evening (until as late as midnight), and weekend shifts. Hours will vary seasonally. Must be available Fridays or Saturdays, and at least one weekday.
