Job Title: Assistant Estate Manager (Bridgehampton, NY)

Job Description:
A private family seeks to hire an experienced Assistant Estate Manager to support the Estate Manager of a large private Estate and oversee multiple properties. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the daily maintenance of all facilities within the properties
  • Must be able to work as part of the team: reporting to the Estate Manager and working alongside other staff (team of Housekeepers) and outside vendors.
  • Supervising the day-to-day facilities operations, any renovations, and on-site projects if Estate Manager is not available
  • Maintain a record of inventory supplies and household equipment
  • Property repairing, HVAC systems, and groundskeeping duties
  • General Handyman duties, essential electrical and plumbing work as needed
  • Maintaining the landscape of the property
  • Coordinating & managing the outside vendors and contractors
  • Overseeing the payment of invoices for vendors and contractors
  • Support with preparing the property for the fall & winter season maintenance
  • Executing special requests, errands, and any other related duties as needed
  • Must be able to work on-call for any emergencies such as weather-related emergencies, alarms etc.
Schedule: Monday – Friday. With the flexibility to work weekends if needed for any emergencies on the property

Compensation: $85,000 (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience working and supporting private estates
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
  • Adept in managing and supervising household staff
  • Prioritize executive tasks and multi-task effectively
  • Must have experience/training in formal service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be comfortable working around children and pets
  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office and Mac OSX and related programs
  • Professional mindset and the utmost discretion
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Flexibility with hours and scheduling
  • Handyman/Repair experience is required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid US work authorization
  • Must follow all CDC recommendations against Covid-19 and vaccinations
