Assistant Director

The primary function of the assistant director is to perform tasks assigned by the director and assist in staffing the center, parent communication, maintaining licensing and accreditation standards, and above all else maintaining the health, safety, and well being of the children in your care. The assistant director is either a cook or a van driver and is typically responsible for closing the center. Closing cleaning duties, accepting payments and appropriately identifying people coming to pick up children are integral parts of this job.

Qualified applicants will have child care administration experience, a growth mindset, and a positive outlook. Excellent communication skills a must. Preferably a flexible schedule during hours of operation. Will work in tandem with the facility director.

Minimum qualifications

• CDA with willingness to further your education
• Experience overseeing a child care center
• At least three references, one personal and two professional

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
