A national multi-family management company seeks a highly motivated, fast-paced, and experienced Assistant Community Manager to join our team in Duncan, SC.

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for assisting Community Manager in overseeing property management for the complex by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors/employees.
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists Community Manager in maintaining the physical assets of maximizing the financial returns from the assets in accordance with the owners’ objectives.
  • Assists in the direction and coordination of activities involving office staff engaged in showing prospective tenants' apartments and explaining occupancy terms, renting or leasing apartments, collecting security deposits as required, and completing lease forms outlining conditions and terms of occupancy.
  • Responsible for accounts payable/receivable reconciliation collects and logs any payments due and issues receipts.
  • Assists in giving leasing tours, answering leasing phone calls, and processing online inquiries as needed.
  • Minimizes delinquency through consistent follow-up, including phone calls, notices, and personal visits.
  • Responsible for the efficient and timely reporting, maintenance, and submission of all administrative forms, files, and reports in accordance with Company policy; updates daily reports concerning notice to vacate, vacancy reports, activity reports, etc. on a daily basis.
  • Inspects vacant apartments and handles details of move-ins and move-outs.
  • Helps ensure that residents are provided with a clean, safe, and well-maintained community; assists with handling resident relations and resident organizations, report accidents and emergency situations to the Community Manager immediately and prepares incident reports, continually inspects the property, and reports deficiencies

Experience/Skills:

Two years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager.

  • One year experience in Payable/Receivables.
  • Management training is desirable. OneSite experience is required.
  • Excellent people skills. Must be a strong team player with good communication skills and the ability to manage time and set priorities.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping, business math, accounting, management, and marketing.
  • Must be computer literate and be able to use office equipment.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays when needed.
