From your PASSION to ours

To assist the Plant Director with the financial and production results of the plant. Will be responsible to provide leadership and direction, with a positive and professional attitude, for all aspects of all production, and to all the related departments consistent with company objectives. Will be responsible for the general site operation and maintenance to achieve the assigned production objectives by motivating the staff members. Will manage production and/or packaging departments, ensuring all quality practices are established and maintained to uphold company and regulatory standards.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· Direct production (RSPC, Production, Curing, Packaging) departments to ensure that all operations are rendered in an timely, reliable, and consistent fashion

· Manage staff: integrate, train, appraise, discipline and ensure development

· Lead the team: delegate, instill a sense of responsibility, set objectives, control, listen

· Monitor and analyze the performances of the various production and maintenance departments

· Propose and implement action plans

· Define, follow up and lead parameters for processes and technology using key performance indicator charts

· Participate in developing the operating budget

· Validate and guarantee the feasibility of production programs

· Apply and enforce all quality programs: FSSC 22000 system

· Participate and recommend solutions to common quality issues

· Take necessary measures when there is deviation from policies and standards

· Work closely with Quality and Food Safety team to ensure the quality and specifications of product are continually being met

· Take action to continuously improve process targets

· Comply with all Lactalis American Group Policies and Procedures

· Uphold all rules pertaining to confidentiality of information regarding products, recipes and employee information

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

· Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Dairy Manufacturing or Food Science preferred

Experience

· At least 5 years of experience in cheese industrial production management

· Information coordination, collective line and non-line management, production management, organization and planning, problem-solving methods, continuous improvement measures, project management, and office/computer systems.

Specialized Knowledge

· Cheese industry technology and processes, accounting, management, quality, health and safety, and environment.

· Experience with specialty cheese production preferred

Computer Skills

· Microsoft Office applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook

· The ideal candidate will be a confident, proactive and dynamic leader, who is flexible and receptive to new ideas. He or she will also be capable of working independently in adherence to regulations, of remaining calm under pressure, and be able to demonstrate a sense of responsibility and high professional standards, and objectivity. Possess values of ambition and engagement, with simplicity. Ability to work on weekends based on a rotation schedule among management staff members.
