Summary:
First National Bank in New Bremen is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Assistant Branch Manager at the Sidney office. The role will have functions that include the following duties:
Assist in managing and supervising location employees; responsible for occasional supervision and leadership at location.
Assist in maintaining and overseeing all banking procedures and processes at location.
Assist in managing the vault cash, including preparing weekly cash order/sale and balancing and filling the ATM.
Generate new deposit business for the branch to meet growth and profitability goals. Help create a sales culture within the branch.
Promote and cross-sell other bank products and services to existing bank customers.
Respond to customer complaints and inquiries regarding their accounts. Correct any errors.
Contact customers and businesses, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
Interview customers to setup new accounts and explain available financial services such as saving and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, and securities. Enter account information obtained from customer into system to generate new account documents.
Encourage depositors to setup direct deposits. Help transfer or setup automatic transactions.
Assist customers with technological service problems including internet banking, mobile banking, bill pay, Zelle, etc., as well as resolving account problems or inquiries.
Take information for wire transfers of funds.
Meet with consumer, real estate loan customers, or commercial loan customers to take loan applications including determining the customer needs and requesting appropriate financial information.
Analyze applicant financial status, credit, and security to determine feasibility for granting the loan. Submit to management for approval.
Assure timely loan closings and funding of loans. Complete the loan package and review with the applicant including all the loan terms, including fees, loan repayment options, and interest rates.
Process necessary tickets to book the loan and/or prepare and mail denial letters to customers, if required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assist in the management and supervision of employees at the office location.
Cover a cash drawer on the teller line.
Assist in making sure the branch building and grounds are well maintained. This includes general appearance and cleanliness. Assist in the management and overseeing of outside contract work while working with the main office for expenditure approval.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience - Minimum of an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College and/or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as bank policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Computer Skills – Strong computer skills, experience with Fiserv financial and other related software and the Microsoft Office suite a plus.
Other Skills
Banking or customer service experience preferred.
Understand the importance of confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
