Great at communication? Have organization skills? Do you have the want and ability to adjust, pivot and grow? We are looking for a Cherry's team member to fill the Assembly Technician position. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Service & repair existing equipment
  • Make hose assemblies
  • Print and review pick sheets.
  • Label machines
  • Clean up and put away tools.
  • Assemble hyd. and electrical components
  • Set speeds and pressure
  • Run cables, wire panel & add safety
  • Touch up paint as needed.
  • Add fluids and set sensor/switches.
  • Report problems/issues to PM
  • Test and QC machines
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to us:

  • First and foremost, a great attitude coupled with an optimistic "can do" spirit, great work ethic, coachable and teachable and the curiosity of a lifelong learner.
  • Your successful "hands on" experience and an affinity towards using your hands to fix or build things.
  • General working knowledge and expertise with hand tools, power tools, measuring tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word for the purpose of updating operating manuals or drafting repair instructions for customers.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to the operations team changes, process improvement and safety issues related to machine assembly and or warehouse issues.
  • Other skills that are not required but preferred - Machining (lathe, mill, surface grinder etc...) and Welding (MIG & TIG)
  • A working knowledge of Solid Works / Auto Cad, schematics, and mechanical drawings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • GED high school equivalency.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in machine assembly.
  • Material Handling Equipment industry experience is preferred (although not required).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred, but not required.
  • This position will be considered an hourly position working in person at our manufacturing plant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour
