What Assembly contributes to Cardinal Health

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production to put together component parts to make assemblies, sub-assemblies or completed units, using standard operating procedures. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.

Accountabilities

  • Rotate through specific workstations where components are added to the product that results in an increase in the product value
  • Must adhere to the Standard Production Methods (SPM) of their designated manufacturing cell
  • Operation of machinery procedures to insure proper operations, safety and quality of assembled/finished products
  • Work from specifications, production work orders and operating instructions.
  • Assist in the move-in and move-out of components
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to enable them to interact with supervision, engineering and management to meet identified operational goals
  • Monitors production requirements of assembly areas to ensure adequate number of quality parts are supplied
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly working environment within the department. Promotes Good Manufacturing Practices and proper housekeeping procedures to all personnel assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or 1-3 months related work /training experience required
  • 0 - 6 months previous work experience required

  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
  • Works on basic and routine assignments
  • Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines
  • Works under close supervision. All work is reviewed for accuracy
  • Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
