Prescott, Arizona – Fann Contracting, Inc - Northern Arizona s leading heavy-civil and heavy-highway contractor is searching for a Hot Mix Asphalt Production Loader Operator to join our team for local and statewide projects. Preference given to candidates with 3 or more years of experience with hot plants. Annual wage may range between $56K to $66K or more DOE. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. Subsistence (travel pay) of $63 to $73 per day is available when you travel for work please ask for details.

Our family-owned, 60-year company specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, and much more. Our projects include public and private entities including ADOT, FHWA, BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial developments.

The Production Loader Operator Position is a fast-paced position operating in and around plant equipment, delivery trucks, and haul vehicles safely. Feeding material from stockpiles to keep the plant running continuously. Loader operators will also perform daily repair or maintenance tasks (welding, wiring, laboring etc.). Most projects are fast moving day shift, but night shift work is sometimes possible and required. This position typically includes frequent overtime and Davis-Bacon or Prevailing Wage Pay.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent safety habits.
• Minimum 2 years experience with high production Caterpillar Loaders (988H and/or 980G, 980M), and an ability to operate other equipment as needed.
• Must be able to safely, competently and quickly feed the plant with various materials.
• Candidates should have a current driver s license for state-wide travel. This is a mobile hot mix facility.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Strong knowledge of crushing facilities and hot mix environments (safety requirements, various materials produced etc.).
• Mechanical aptitude to help labor and make repairs as required.
• Ability to work independently (self-starter) or as part of a team.
• Asphalt plant experience would be a huge plus.
