The Area Director of Revenue Strategy role is to identify and maximize all potential revenue opportunities for assigned hotels. This role will provide direction and support to property teams in the maximization of revenue (RevPAR and RevPAR Index), profit and market share through leadership in the revenue strategy processes associated with inventory management, pricing, demand projections and revenue forecasting. The position is responsible for data analysis and the development of revenue strategies in accordance with the Revenue Strategy KPI strategic plan and annual operating plan for the hotel.

  • Maximize total revenues and market share index through developing pricing, restrictions, mix of sales and channel visibility

  • Test and measure all rate strategies to drive RPI growth weekly, monthly and yearly

  • Analyze data to interpret market trends, market dynamics, strategy changes, and optimum mix of sales, etc.

  • Lead by example through Remington's five essential guiding principles: Be Ethical, Profitable, Innovative, Tenacious and Engaging

  • Lead revenue virtual video strategy meetings with hotel teams

  • Assist in completing monthly revenue forecasts

  • Monitor competitive pricing across all channels and products

  • Oversee OTA promotions

  • Oversee the accuracy of the RMS system

  • Oversee Group Rate Pricing Strategy for the hotel 24 months into the future.

  • Work closely with group housing to ensure group standards are met and cut off dates are monitored

  • Understand and apply the dynamics of local markets and demand generators

  • Assist as needed in the yearly RFP process

  • Assist as needed in the yearly budgeting process

  • Assist as needed in reporting to ownership

Requirements:
  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Multi-property role in revenue manager for at least 3 years of revenue experience
  • Multiple brand experience required - Hilton and Marriot HIGHLY Preferred!
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of reservations, revenue, front office, sales & catering systems and industry systems (STR, Travel Click, Sales Systems, Knowland, Kalibri, etc.)
  • Ability to evaluate business trends and communicate recommendations
  • Thorough knowledge of Digital Marketing
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Work successfully with proactive sales team
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Travel required as needed
  • Attention to details with strong organizational and efficient time management skills
  • Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient
  • Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction
