Position Overview:
Rancho Summer Camp in Scotsdale, Arizona is in search of an experienced, energetic, and service oriented Seasonal Aquatics Director. The Aquatics Director is responsible for managing the daily operations of Rancho Summer Camp’s Aquatics Program. This position is responsible for managing a small staff (of 6-10 lifeguards/swim instructors) for up to 150 campers per week. The Aquatics Director will assist the camp director in coordinating camper swim times and aquatics staff scheduling. This individual will organize and implement a supplied swim curriculum, as well as supplied materials. They will also maintain the cleanliness and safety of the pool area.

Job Description:
The Aquatics Director is responsible for managing the daily operations of Rancho Summer Camp’s Aquatics Program. This position is responsible for managing a small staff (of 6-10 lifeguards/swim instructors) for up to 150 campers per week. The Aquatics Director will assist the Camp Director in coordinating camper swim times and aquatics staff scheduling. This individual will organize and implement a supplied swim curriculum, as well as supplied materials. They will also maintain the cleanliness and safety of the pool area.
- Reports directly to the Site Leader for direction and support
- Additional tasks include: Daily maintenance of the pool and pool area, Full cleaning and weekend close down each Friday.
Anticipated Work Hours Per Week:
35 - 40 hours per week
Must be able to attend required training:
- In-person PAID training on Saturday May 27 & Sunday May 28 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

- Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy and exceptional enthusiasm all day, every day, for the duration of the summer
Experience & Education:
- 2+ years pool management experience
- Bachelors Degree
- 3+ years experience lifeguarding
- CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard certified
- 3 years teaching or working with children preferred
- 1 year experience supervising and developing direct reports preferred
