Anticipated Openings- School Year 2023-24 ILC-STEM Job at Brockton Public Schools

Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources SUBJECT: Anticipated Opening(s) - Instructional Leadership Coach (STEM)The above captioned position is brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel. This notice will serve as the announcement for all open Instructional Leadership Coach positions which may occur between now and September 1, 2023.
The position may be at an elementary school, middle school, or high school. Names of specific schools where position may become available will be provided to all applicants as that information is finalized. This position is dependent upon funding.Qualifications: Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a TeacherA minimum of five years of successful teaching experienceA thorough knowledge of the MA Math and STE Standard as well as knowledge of best pedagogical practices in Math and Science, Technology and Engineering Demonstrated skills in Leadership, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, team building, and organization Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Assist the principal by ensuring all aspects of math and STE curricula and district initiatives are implemented and supported in the building. 2.Teach two classes each day that supports school and district initiatives.
3.Model lessons, observe instruction and/or provide non-evaluative feedback to teachers about math and STE instruction to meet students needs. 4.Facilitate various Professional Learning Community (PLC) teams to support teachers in: analyzing data to strengthen instructional decisions; collaboratively plan high quality and rigorous lessons; and examining student products to calibrate performance and improve achievement. 5.Differentiate teacher support and provide instructional mentoring. 6.Conduct professional development workshops or study groups for teachers to bolster content knowledge and build collegiality.
7.Collaborate with the Coordinator of Elementary Math and Science, as well as other coaches, in shaping and strengthening the Math and Science Department in Brockton. Compensation: Teachers salary Schedule Plus up to five days beyond the teacher work year, to be compensated at the individuals per diem rate of pay. Plus $2,000A resume of professional experience should accompany the letter of intent.
