We are partnering with our client to assist with their search for an Annual Fund Manager. Our client is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. They work to deliver the highest standards of care, advance the science of the developing brain, and empower parents, professionals and policymakers to support children when and where they need it most.

The Annual Fund Manager is a key member of the Development team, overseeing strategy and activities of the annual fund campaign, including digital fundraising pipeline, to maximize support for the Institute’s mission and vision. Working with the Major Gifts Officers and the Development team, the position will develop and execute plans for engaging, sustaining, and growing a national annual fund donor pipeline to achieve revenue goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Development team, develop and execute strategy for the Institute’s national annual fund campaign, including appeals, mailings, reports, and other relevant correspondence.
  • Implement strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a pipeline of annual fund donors ($1-$9,999) to meet revenue goals.
  • Implement best-in-class moves management processes that increase the number of first-time gifts, secure gift renewals, and move donors up the giving ladder.
  • Work closely with Major Gifts Officers in the Bay Area and NYC to support the Grateful Family Program, educating families about the Institute’s work, building relationships with new prospects, and supporting the growth of the annual fund pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Development Communications Manager and the Marketing and Communications team to develop, enhance, and evaluate annual online fundraising appeals and strategy.
  • Work with Development Coordinator to oversee timely production and distribution of donor acknowledgement letters.
  • Work with Development Operations team to ensure all donor outreach and communications are tracked in Salesforce.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of two to three years of development/fundraising experience with annual or individual giving programs.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superb time management; ability to handle multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines and work well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative, resourceful with roll up your sleeves mentality; entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings.
  • Solid computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Passion for the mission.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $90,000 annually. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
