Animal Shelter Technician - Part-Time Job at The City of Luling
The City of Luling Police Department is now accepting applications for an Animal Shelter Technician - part-time position. Requirements include, but are not limited to documentation of a High School diploma or GED. The Shelter Tech is responsible for the overall care of the dogs and cats within the shelter. The responsibilities may vary based on the needs of the shelter. Ability to handle animals of various sizes and activity levels safely, compassionately and effectively. Work is normally performed both indoors and out. Exposure to unpleasant odors and noises. Exposure to possible bites, scratches and animal wastes. Often requires lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Frequently requires handling of materials up to 20 lbs. Walking and/or standing for long periods. Frequently work in a bent position. Job Type: Part-time (20-28hrs) may include holidays and weekends. Salary: $12.75 /hour. Must operate radio, computer, telephone and deal with the public. Job applications are available at City Hall, 509 E. Crockett St., and may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. Applications will be received until position is filled.
