Animal Foster Care Coordinator
· With coordination from Shelter Operations Manager and the Lifesaving Programs Coordinator, implement programs and marketing strategies that increase the number of animals placed into foster care.
· Safely and humanely handle and/or restrain animals, including those of unknown health and temperament.
In coordination with the Marketing and Outreach Team, monitor and coordinate marketing strategies of available pets for rescue, transport, and adoptions through social media, website, and any other communications channels.
· Manage on-call foster care emergencies after-hour calls. Position Details and Conditions In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and task satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Ability to build alliances with community organizations and agencies. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, rescues, staff, and any organizational stakeholders.
Ability to administer vaccines and medications.
Ability to properly teach fosters how to care for neonates.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
