We are hiring an Analytical Lab Technician in our Bedford, MA facility, who will be responsible for supporting new product introduction and manufacturing processes across the Specialty Chemical and Engineered Materials Division (SCEM) of Entegris. The role will involve operating several analytical techniques focusing on thin film metrology. Instrumentation includes hardness measurement, nanoindentation, scratch adhesion, profilometer, and optical/confocal microscopy.

The ideal candidate will be results oriented and an excellent team player, with knowledge of thin film/coating metrology.

This position is on the 1st shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm

In this role you will:

• Safely perform routine surface/thin film analysis to support existing products, new product development and internal and external customer requests
• Run MSA studies for detection limits, accuracy, precision and stability for analytical methods
• Design, set up, and execute experiments; analyze data and communicate results to the team
• Maintain and support lab practices per relevant ISO 17025 and 9001 requirements
• Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science is highly preferred;
• Experience in analytical instrument operation, data analysis and method development;
• Team player attitude with a desire for excellence and continuous improvement;
• Flexible - ability to rapidly respond to new situations and perform multiple tasks;
• Certifications or training in Six Sigma, Semi, ISO, etc., is preferred.
