This leader will drive the development and strategy of the ADvantage program which is planned to deliver upwards of $130MM in annual business value for ADUSA. The role is responsible for building capabilities and driving internal connectivity at a leadership level with the Brands, PDL, RBS, and all Supply Chain functions. This leader has direct responsibility for managing a group of Analysts supporting the development, execution, and expansion of the program.
This position will develop best practice use-cases to facilitate supplier collaboration across ADUSA entities. This role will ensure proper division of company resources to fully support Brand strategies, revenue objectives, KPIs, and cost savings targets in scope for the ADvantage program.
This leader will support vendor participation and engagement through the design and continuous improvement of data and performance tools required by the program Execution team.
This role will be expected to communicate and collaborate with program execution managers and will be required to cultivate strong relationships across the Brands with specific focus on Supply Chain, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Finance, and IS/IT, and must have a solid understanding of policies and processes that support collaborative efforts.
This lead will teach, coach, and train subject matter experts and analysts to become highly focused on internal and external root cause identification, mitigation and solutioning, to bring forth process refinement, and alternative methodologies for process improvement initiatives.
This lead will serve as a liaison between Brand and Supply Chain initiatives creating an environment which fosters open sharing of knowledge and insights with the objective of advancing and growing the delivery of value to ADUSA business from ADvantage.
The role will lead the design and development of future ADvantage program value streams across additional vendor groups including DSD, scan based traders, private label, etc. in collaboration with Brand and Supply Chain leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and development of all current and future program parameters, ensuring that the value expected from the program is delivered in full through proper deployment of tools, technology, and resources.
Ensure analysts within the ADvantage Program have sufficient tools and training to deliver the expected qualitative and quantitative results for our Brands and Supplier Partners.
Establish value calculation methodologies and metrics that align with industry standards.
Own the creation of the comprehensive toolkit for the ADvantage team including scorecards, presentation templates, reports, summaries, and leadership updates.
Collaborate with key leaders on development of new program value streams, vetting and assessing opportunities to drive the strategy of the ADvantage program further.
Develop learning forums for participating strategic partners to openly discuss non-compete best-practices and share ADUSA policies and practices to further their understanding and ability to collaborate.
Utilize continuous improvement methods to advance the analytical accumen of the analysts within the program, providing insights, solutions, and alternative methodologies through ongoing education and training.
Partner with Supply Chain and Brand Leadership to plan and formally align to specific targets to ensure collaborative support for overall ADUSA strategies and goals.
Support and assist the program execution Managers and empower them with the ability to garner data for delivering more impactful and actionable insights.
Collaborate with various functional areas to assist with the negotiation and onboarding of vendors within the program, serving as a future escalation point to explore opportunities.
Provide ongoing, objective counsel to Supply Chain and Brand Leadership on the proper interpretation and application of business data, program information, and toolsets.
Establish ways of working and connectivity of ADvantage with all internal functional partners.
Lead engagement with technology providers and delivery of data enhancements as well as interface with internal IT/Analytics on priority projects.
Capture and deploy best practices; identify how to turn individual vendor wins into repeatable value streams.
Own audit control compliance and process documentation for the ADvantage program.
Manage ADvantage Share Point site content for internal and vendor stakeholders.

Knowledge:
Advanced working knowledge of supply chain practices and procedures.
Knowledge and experience in the areas of: Supply Chain Operational Processes, Merchandising Strategies, Retail Operations, DC Operations, Transportation and Logistics Vendor Management, and overall supplier network capabilities and constraints.

Skills:
Knowledge of CPG retailer/vendor supply chain operations High level communication skills and ability to work cross functionally with all levels of the organization PowerPoint, Excel, and strong presentation skills Understanding of financial analysis and P&L’s Experience in project management and change management Relationship management skills Understanding of data analysis and ability to interpret and utilize data for presentation purposes Proven supervisory/leadership skills Ability to build strong relationships and lead teams

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar work experience

Experience:
5-7 years of experience across two or more of the following areas: CPG industry, Supply Chain Demand Management / Forecasting, Replenishment, Merchandising, Vendor Management, Category Management
Supplier Collaboration and Vendor Management experience preferred
Experience in managing teams, projects, and 3rd party relationships
