What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Business Analyst in Global Spread Products Technology, you will provide business analysis on projects for the Credit and Municipal Fixed Income desks. The primary responsibility is to document project scope, gather detailed analysis and user requirements. The candidate will also ensure the continued availability, effectiveness and improvement of systems.

  • Leads detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving business systems issues for a platform providing pricing and eTrading capabilities for Credit Fixed Income trading.
  • Assesses, researches, analyzes and documents sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with Project Life Cycle and CMM deliverables utilizing reporting tools, requirements. Identifies, tracks and resolves business systems issues.
  • Recommends business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients.
  • Together with IT management, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
  • Ensures adequate end user documentation and training including through in-person interaction with NYC based users
  • Contributes to successful project completion within budget and on time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Gain in depth knowledge of the business domain and application functionality

  • Detail oriented and focused on quality and effectiveness.
  • Highly effective in managing stakeholders and gathering requirements (including interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling and user interface design.)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • High degree of professionalism, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Demonstrated success in taking initiative and delivering immediate and independent action to solve business problems
  • Commitment to a team-oriented environment and a willingness to openly share ideas and leverage the expertise of others in order to generate new ideas

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of experience in Fixed Income business domain.
  • Experience in applications supporting algo, portfolio, or ETF trading are a plus

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $140K - $180K depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
