Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a motivated, goal and team oriented, fire alarm, security - low voltage prewire/installation technician. You will often be a primary point of contact for our customers. Therefore, you will build rapport with customers and use your expertise to provide high-quality installation services. In addition, you will be able to discuss and identify opportunities for added and/or alternative products and services. You will ensure complete customer satisfaction with both their new system and installation process.

Your main duties will include:

  • Installing and servicing commercial fire systems accurately and efficiently.

Other duties will include:

  • Installing residential and commercial security systems accurately and efficiently
  • Connecting in-home systems, activating systems, and performing customer demonstration
  • Meeting or exceeding performance goals on a consistent basis
  • Keeping the customer informed at all times of what the installation process will entail
  • Performing needs analysis with customers and designing a system that meets those needs
  • Maintaining administrative responsibility by submitting billing and payroll paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensuring the highest level of safety and responsibility to avoid injury, property damage or loss of unused materials
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times
  • Consulting with team lead or management on any issues or concerns
  • Cleaning up work area thoroughly following installation
  • Maintaining all company equipment, including vehicle, tools, inventory
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Qualifications and Experience:

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Desire and ability to obtain a North Carolina alarm license
  • Detail orientation and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively both on an individual basis and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Minimum 3 years experience with Honeywell Firelite fire alarm systems
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72

Preferred

  • Thorough understanding of installing security systems (user interaction, troubleshooting
  • Experience with Ademco / Honeywell, Access Control systems, and Firelite commercial fire alarms
  • Electronics/electrical/HVAC/technical training at a trade school or community college
  • Computer Literacy, ability to program and troubleshoot problems

Starting Compensation:

  • Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour starting rate based on experience
