We are seeking an Assistant Food Service Director of Production with high volume, high-end catering experience for an exclusive private boarding/day school in Boca Raton, FL. This is an entry level production position and requires a hands on chef who not only can produce high volume meals, but who also has advanced computer skills to manage ordering and inventory, at this multi-venue campus, gorgeous school in Palm Beach County.

Our managers are driven. They design menus that reflect the communities they serve. These menus are written at the venue. Our managers hire their teams, manage ordering, inventory and catering, as well as lead talent management. The schedule includes one weekend day and weekdays and weeknights, as this is a seven day operation. This is an opportunity where a new chef can grow and learn a tremendous amount from seasoned chefs and be exposed to highly diverse menus.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000

What you'll do:

  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and develop client relationships.
  • Assist in general location management as part of the SAGE management team.
  • Assist in ordering and inventory management, scheduling, catering and production, as needed.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Implement and maintain HACCP standards.
  • Participate in the interviewing, hiring, training, and ongoing mentoring of the team.
  • Lead by example.
  • Design and produce the menu.
  • Ordering and inventory management, catering and production.

What you'll need:

  • Culinary degree preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Fluency in sanitation and safety standards.
  • Dynamic get-it-done work ethic.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize with proficiency.
  • Previous experience with ordering systems.
