Job Description
Manages program(s) that recruit and/or engage University alumni and constituents for their ongoing support of the university.
  • Coordinate and administer activities for over 69k living alumni worldwide to provide meaningful alumni engagement opportunities across all demographics. This would include developing new, innovative strategies and taking them from conception to implementation; creating and executing programs for unique audiences, including young alumni and current students; evaluating strategies to ensure effectiveness and providing continuous improvement as needed.
  • Schedule strategic visits to establish and cultivate relationships, ensuring alumni needs are being met and strengthening lifelong engagement.
  • Serve as advisor to the Student Alumni Council (SAC). Drive programmatic enhancements and oversee students in achieving program purpose and goals.
  • Serve as lead staff liaison to the Young Alumni Council (YAC). Identify engagement strategies to foster a connection with young alumni.
  • Assist with various campus events including but not limited to: Graduation Celebration, Homecoming, St. Pat’s, Philanthropy Month, Scholarship events, and Golden Alumni Reunion. Collaborate with donor relations and event personnel to ensure high quality events.
  • Provide support for the Miner Alumni Association Board of Directors, Executive Board and committees as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight travel, and to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Two years related experience in alumni relations, public or volunteer management/relations, special events and/or development.
  • University experience is highly preferred.
