Job Title: Adult Sailing Instructor

Location: East Boston, Massachusetts

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time, seasonal with opportunity for year-round employment

Salary: $22 - $32 per hour - Competitive pay based on experience

First Reef Sailingis a sailing school located in East Boston, MA that offers adult sailing certification courses, land based clinics, mile building passages and sailing charters. We teach the American Sailing Association curriculum and currently offer ASA 101 - Basic Keelboat through ASA 106 - Advanced Coastal Cruising as well as ASA 114 - Cruising Catamaran.

Our Boston season runs from May 1st to October 15th. During the spring and fall we offer “Mile-Building Passages” for customers as we deliver our fleet to and from our southern headquarters in the Florida Keys/Bahamas/ Virgin Islands. Once there, we offer certification courses and charters in 7 day formats from December 15th to April 1st.

We are looking for full time and part time instructors to join our staff for the upcoming Boston Summer season (with an opportunity to stay on for the following shoulder and winter seasons based on performance during the summer). The ideal candidate would be a motivated instructor with a passion for sailing and looking for a career in the sailing industry.

First Reef Sailing was founded in part due to a lack of full-time, stable, long-term careers for sailing instructors and captains.
