Job title: Adult Daycare Director

General Position Overview: The Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the Adult Daycare Program. The Director shall assure that the program has a clear mission, a good organization plan, and is directed accordingly, setting industry standards for quality programming.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day operations of the Adult Day Program/Adult Day Health Care/Community Based Adult Services program in accordance with licensing requirements & regulations of Community Care Licensing, the California Department of Aging, and the California Department of Health Care Services
• Manage staff, volunteers, and interns, ensuring daily staffing is in compliance with regulations and appropriate to the population served.
• Maintain compliance with all requirements of Medi-Cal Managed Care plans, ensuring documentation is appropriate to their standards and that monthly care plans are complete, accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Coordinate services with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and North Los Angeles County Regional Center.
• Oversee compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
• Work collaboratively with the Director and Assistant Directors of the Child Care program to ensure success of the intergenerational program.
• Audit charts to ensure compliance with record keeping/documentation.
• Serve as the leader of the program’s Multi-Disciplinary Team, serving as supervisor of the center’s RNs, LVN, Social Worker, LCSW, Dietitian, and Physical and Occupational Therapists.
• Oversee the intake process, assisting with tours for prospective participants and their families, submitting required paperwork for approval by various providers, including Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans, Regional Center, the VA and long-term care insurances.
• Responsible for attaining budgetary and income goals.
• Assist with grant writing and ensuring compliance with deliverables of grants received.
• Stay well informed of advances in the field, and implement those that support the mission, vision and values of the agency.
• Supervise the Program Manager of ONEgeneration’s Transportation Program and have some knowledge of the City of Los Angeles Department of Aging Transportation program requirements. Provide support and assistance when needed.
• Leadership responsibilities.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

MA/MS degree in Social Work, Sociology, Gerontology, Psychology or related field and a minimum of one year of experience in management, supervisory or administrative position; or

Bachelor’s degree in related field or a Registered Nurse and a minimum of two years of experience in management, supervisor or administrative position.

Experience to include knowledge of the aging process and social welfare policy. Knowledge and understanding of problems affecting frail elderly and their families, intergenerational programming, and ADHC/ADP licensing requirements. Knowledge of community resources and initiative to seek out additional resources. Strong Management skills required. Must be able to work effectively with public and staff through clear verbal and written communication. Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Working conditions: Working conditions are normal for an office/Adult daycare environment. Work may require some evening work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
