Job Description:
Overview/General Summary:
Tracks materials received at a treatment plant in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local hazardous waste regulations and in accordance with our policies, practices and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Identifies materials received and completes appropriate paperwork
  • Enters data on a computerized tracking database. Identifies all incoming waste streams at the treatment plant
  • Integrates information with manifests, process forms, check-in sheets, and customer profiles
  • Enters all system-required waste tracking information into the database
  • Record customer information to ensure compliance with program objectives
  • Maintains computer files, logbooks and other files and records
  • Prepares necessary manifest and land disposal restriction forms and maintains associated filing systems
  • Creates and edits reports, including incoming and outgoing daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
  • Provides clerical support including reception duties, phone coverage, word processing, office supply inventory, computer user support and mail distribution
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and skills using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • General computer and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • One to two years related administrative experience (hospital billing coding experience strongly desired)
  • Advanced skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Working technical knowledge of 29CFR, 40CFR and other applicable regulations
  • HM126 certification is a plus
