Responsibilities

Under the direction of the designated Manager or designee, the incumbent assists with the monitoring and facilitation of program activities as assigned, while ensuring a safe and secure environment for all who enter the Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center. The incumbent also has initial responsibility for the smooth running of the unit in the best interest of patient care. Under general supervision, regularly performs a variety of supervisory and complex duties, as outlined below, involving review or processing which regularly requires the interpretation and application of specialize technical or program knowledge and exercises a high degree of independence, initiative and originality with little day-to-day supervision.

  • Greet customers (vendors, patients, staff, volunteers, and physicians) in person and on the phone, providing information, taking messages, scheduling appointments and or referring to appropriate individual or department.
  • Receive and process feedback from members and families on program surveys. Collaborates with management for program planning.
  • Coordinates the marketing materials of the department by creating flyers and website updates while communicating with staff team.
  • Administrative support as required: word processing, form development, spreadsheet preparation, filing, ordering supplies, copying, distributing, minutes, scheduling intake appointments, preparing reports and correspondence. Maintains administrative control of a variety of records and files, including confidential and legal documents related to
    program members.
  • Coordinate registration for adjunct programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested in a professional manner.

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • 3 years experience in a healthcare medical clerical setting
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Specific knowledge of regulatory requirements related to confidentiality, release of patient information and quality improvement
  • CPR/BLS Certification through The American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
  • Supervisory experience
  • Associates Degree or 5 years experience in health related field

Pay Range
$21.70 - $29.84 /hour
