Job Overview:
This is a full time paid position. This Administrative Assistant performs a varienty of administrative support functions for Volunteer Services Department (80%) and coordinates the Pet Therapy Program (20%).

Previous Administrative Assistant and Pet Therapy experience preferred. A passion for animals is required.

This position is full-time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $26.00-$39.00/hourly. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains a variety of computerized and manual record keeping systems related to volunteer
    personnel; establishes and maintains various tracking systems, logs, and databases
  • Provides responsible administrative support to Manager
  • Mentoring, scheduling and overseeing all pet therapy activities, (i.e. hospital visits, community outreach and education)
  • Performs a variety of support functions related to recruitment, placement and orientation processes
    for new volunteers
  • Performs a variety of responsible support functions for assigned special projects relating to
    volunteers
  • Responsible for the coordination of Pet Therapy Program, a.k.a. Animal Assisted Activities/Animal
    Assisted Therapy

Minimum:
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot
Preferred:
  • Administrative Assistant experience
  • Pet therapy experience
  • Animal behavior experience
