ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
Working under the direction of the Center Director, this position provides administrative and clerical support to the Towanda Center of Lackawanna College.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide administrative support to the center, to include assistance with scheduling, purchasing, file maintenance, and special events and projects.
  • Process requisitions, invoices and all administrative documentation for the Center.
  • Greets, assists and directs students, parents and visitors arriving at the Center. Notifies Center staff of appointment arrivals (for example admissions and enrollments) via telephone and email.
  • Responsible for answering the main telephone line for the Center and forwarding/distributing inquiries to Center staff (for example admissions and enrollment)
  • Assists prospective students in submitting an inquiry or application or Accuplacer testing.
  • Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and ordering items as needed.
  • Accept student payments using the CASHNET system.
  • Update and maintain student information in Jenzabar and Liaison Admissions systems as necessary. Photocopy all original documents for files and prepare originals for delivery to Scranton.
  • Maintain all required educational documentation both filing and on internal operating system.
  • Maintain accurate files containing all schedules, class lists and other information related to each semester.
  • Assist adjunct instructors and Center Director in the requisition of new textbooks and existing syllabi.
  • Contact offices and personnel at Scranton Campus as necessary.
  • Participate in meeting and training in Scranton as directed.
  • Assists with budget maintenance:
  • Accurately processes all requisitions, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Handles deposits (Cash NET and On-Line Check Deposit) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain fiscal records for all college budgets.
  • Maintain fiscal records for each student, providing receipts for all cash received.
  • Accurately tracks 3rd party payments and reporting (WIOA, etc.)
  • Conduct all Continuing Education certification registration, application and billing processes.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

EDUCATION:
  • Associate Degree in Business or related field preferred, office management background desired

EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior experience working in an office setting preferred.
