JOB SUMMARY:
Provides administrative and clerical support to the department to ensure efficient and effective work flow. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.

Responsibilities:
  • Answers telephone inquiries and/or directs to proper person or accurately records telephone messages.
  • Serves as front desk backup.
  • Provides assistance for data collection, data entry, forms development/maintenance, and administrative functions.
  • Receives and distributes correspondence for the department.
  • Assist with the accurate and efficient maintenance of files.
  • Provides general support and assistance to the department staff.
  • Contributes to improving the efficiency of departmental workflows and processes.
  • Assists with identifying community resources for populations served.
  • Assists with supporting trainings, meetings, community activities, and other sponsored outreach activities.
  • Develops and participates in task forces as a department representative.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year job related experience.
  • Good computer and typing skills (minimum 35 wpm)
  • Verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials.

SALARY:
$18.00 per hour, less than 30 hours per week
