Administrative Clerk
Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO

The HSSI Marine Corps Police Academy-Ft. Leonard Wood (MCPA-FLW) Administrative Clerk is a full-time non-exempt employee responsible for performing various administrative services and providing general administrative support in maintaining the records associated with the day to day operation of the MCPA. The MCPA-FLW Administrative Clerk reports directly to the MCPA-FLW Director of Training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to use computer software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point, databases and e-mail.
  • Possess excellent organizational and file management skills and the ability to plan and execute administrative work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive files and documents and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Possess excellent typing abilities and the skill to prepare documents accurately with minimal errors.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and to maintain a calm and consistent demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to professionally interact with customers, colleagues and command members at all levels; and to foster positive business relationships.
  • Ability to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation or through on-the-job training.

Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a high level of trust and confidence and as such the applicant must meet several pre-employment requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must successfully pass initial drug screening and periodic follow-up testing.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain, if necessary, a “secret” security clearance.
  • Must successfully complete an HSSI background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
  • One-year experience/knowledge working in a police administrative environment is desired.
