The Pink Fund is currently seeking a Program Assistant to support in the application process of breast cancer patients.


As the Program Assistant you will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and processing applications for financial assistance including medical and financial documents, ensuring the highest degree of data entry accuracy, while maintaining strict guidelines to ensure privacy and confidentiality.


The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is looking for a part time role (20 hours per week) and is passionate about the well being of others.


Location: Bingham Farms, MI (Hybrid 1 day in the office, 2 days remote)

Starts: Immediately

Duration: 20 hours a week (3 days a week, flexible schedule)


Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Review, evaluate, and process applications for financial assistance including medical and financial documents, ensuring the highest degree of data entry accuracy, while maintaining strict guidelines to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
  • Assist breast cancer patients, social workers, and patient advocates with applications and review processes or other specific support services which may include eligibility guidance.
  • Communicate, collaborate and maintain relationships with internal and external community constituents.
  • Strictly honor the privacy, security and confidentiality of patient records and other sensitive information according to appropriate regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and train volunteers and interns.
  • Oversee the application processing area within the office to ensure rules and guidelines are followed.
  • Represent Pink Fund at events and conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience
  • Superb skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to eloquently draft written communication responses
  • High level of confidentiality regarding patient information
