What you will be doing:
As the Administrative Application Analyst, you will join our talented team at the Norwin School District. As such, you will be required to administer and maintain a subset of software applications and related administrative services for this educational institution. This position on the technology team is primarily responsible for the organization and submission of state mandated reporting on behalf of the school district.
Essential Functions:

  • Provides technical support for the district’s student information system (SIS) and related processes. Responsible for submission of state mandated reporting as designated by the district to fulfill requirements of the Pennsylvania Information Management Systems (PIMS).
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, software platforms and datasets that support district administrative functions.
  • Develops data quality procedures and documents proper application convention and configuration.
  • Creates customized data extractions and reports for administrators
  • Responsible for troubleshooting 3rdTier escalation ofadministrative applicationsupport issues and coordinating with 4thTier partners as the local liaison for resolution
  • Responsible for daily management of assigned help desk ticket queues with adherence to established thresholds for response
  • Verifies local connectivity, permissions, and functional access toadministrativeclient-server applications as well as private and public cloud services
  • Gathers criteria for custom modifications to existingadministrativeapplications and provides analysis and coordination with partners on related projects
  • Curates the administrative application environment of the district and ensures interoperability between platforms to include the configuration of API’s.
  • Orchestrates data extracts with proper formatting and related imports between disparate systems.
  • Contributes to contingency planning by establishing data retention practices for business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Supports application publishing and cloud integration initiatives.
  • Generates the specifications for licensing ofadministrative applications; assists in identifying software needs in preparation of the annual budget.

Required Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred; high school diploma/GED and equivalent work experience required.
  • 2 years of experience directly supporting enterprise applications in a medium-sized environment (multi-location, 10+ servers, 500+ nodes, 500+ users)
  • Experience with Student Information System (SIS) platforms desired, PowerSchool experience preferred.
  • Experience with state mandated reporting desired. Pennsylvania Information Management Systems (PIMS) experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory administration and permissions
  • Ability to conduct software application training for small groups (5 -30 people)
  • Understanding of computer and network operations
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment

  • Excellent customer service skills
