The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:

Additive Manufacturing Technician

The Additive Manufacturing Process and Capability Center (AMPCC) encompasses a critical mass of Additive Manufacturing process and industrialization experts, the necessary equipment, and develops the strategic collaborations needed to rapidly mature the technology and manufacturing readiness of Additive. The aim of the Center is to accelerate the development and deployment of additive manufactured products and systems for our business units.

The Additive Manufacturing Technician position has a broad range of activities and responsibilities that are important to the effective operation of the AMPCC, including:

  • Operation of Additive Manufacturing equipment.
  • Post processing of additively built parts.
  • Execution of various tests to support development activities.
  • Ownership of 5S in the Additive Manufacturing areas.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and verification of new equipment
  • Fabrication of basic test fixtures and tooling.
  • Maintenance, modification, and upgrades of Additive Manufacturing equipment.
  • Inventory maintenance of metal powders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • This individual must be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment focused on innovation.
  • This individual must demonstrate both verbal and written communication skills including advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint packages.
  • Experience with test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Basic low voltage control troubleshooting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The preferred candidate will have hands-on experience using various hand and industrial tools, machine tools and inspection equipment.
  • Experience with CAD packages a plus.

Education:

  • Candidates for this position are required to have completed an AS degree in a technical field or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of industrial experience.
