The McGuire Group's Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville, NY, is seeking a Activity Leader to become a member of our elite McGuire Mission Makers team. Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for cleaning resident rooms and other interior/exterior facility areas, and assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for the residents according to facility policy.

Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Activities Director in carrying out the activity programs for the residents, families, and public
  • Maintain activity records on the residents
  • Transport residents to and from various activities'
  • Assist in creating and implementing a variety of activities that creates an energetic atmosphere for our residents
  • Greet family and guests as they enter the facility for planned events
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Shifts available:

  • Full Time, 7 AM - 3 PM

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 17 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience with activities geared toward persons in short term rehabilitation or long-term residential care preferred
  • High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene required
  • Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary
  • Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
  • Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness and kindness
  • Qualities of responsibility, diplomacy and ability to work well with fellow staff members
  • Physical endurance for frequent activity
