Village at the Greene is familiar to the Beavercreek and Dayton Community. We have been vital to the area for over 25 years. We are a new state-of-the-art therapy and care community featuring a Person-Centered Care philosophy, specializing in patients' needs and desires.:

Position Summary:
Responsible for the overall direction of the care community’s activity program.

Essential Functions:
  • Because HCF exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care and service
  • Leadership: Ability to take action and achieve results through others
  • Commitment to HCF mission, values, philosophy and Service Excellence Initiative.
  • Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one’s feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and or lift a minimum of 10 pounds up to greater than 50 pounds
  • Must be able to complete performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
Position Responsibilities:
  • Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures
  • Must meet job related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual
  • Develops, coordinates and evaluates the activity programming within the care community
  • Completes sections of the MDS and develops care plans that are specific to each resident
  • Interviews new residents and their families to determine interests and abilities, family history and background.
  • Responsible for the development and on-going success of the Volunteer program
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies to carry out activities
  • Participates in the QAPI process
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining his/her own professional competence
  • Schedules and evaluates staff to ensure adequate program coverage, including weekend, evenings and holidays
  • Responsible for creation and management of activity calendar
  • Perform other duties as assign
Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
Must have high school diploma or equivalent. College and/or clerical schooling preferred. Successful completion of Activity Director Course or 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Reporting to this position is the Activity Assistant.
