This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the payment remittance process, preparing statements and keeping records of financial transactions by performing the following duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure payments are posted in a timely manner by processing the daily lockbox files and payments mailed directly to the office.
  • Work closely with bank in researching exception and returned items.
  • Complete financial adjustments to correct ledgers and misapplied payments.
  • Process monthly billing transactions, such as assessments, prepaids, late fees and ACH.
  • Sort and distribute written correspondence.
  • Monitor the accounting call line and distribute to the appropriate collector.
  • Provide customer service and some minor collection activities.
  • Complete data entry of owner information and update ledgers for new communities.
  • Prepare and send billing statements and coupons.
  • Plus other work related tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of experience or Accounting/Finance/Economics degree
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Real estate or title experience preferred, but not required
  • Customer service oriented attitude

Pay and Benefits:

$16.00 to $18.00, depending on education and experience.
