JOB SUMMARY: The A/R Specialist is responsible for assisting with overview of collections and follow up on claim denials. This position is also responsible for supporting the A/R team with day-to-day challenges, and meeting collection goals.

JOB SUMMARY: The A/R Specialist is responsible for assisting with overview of collections and follow up on claim denials. This position is also responsible for supporting the A/R team with day-to-day challenges, and meeting collection goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Follow up on unpaid claims
- Answer day-to-day questions and provide support to team members
- Ensure denials are worked within 7 business days
- Follow up timely on claims
- Identify and provide feedback on areas of opportunities
- Lead focused efforts on A/R collections projects
- Identify and escalate payer denial trends
- Run reports as needed
- Maintain A/R aging goals set by management
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
COMPETENCIES:
- Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral
- Experience in healthcare, at least one year
- Attention to detail, and flexible work style
- Must be team player
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalency is required
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Travel to other locations as necessary
