Accounts Receivable Lead :

JOB SUMMARY: :The Accounts Receivable Lead oversees the Accounts Receivable Department for a service organization with multiple clients.

REPORTS TO: :Controller
SUPERVISES: :Accounts Receivable Assistants/Specialists

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: :
    • Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
    • Training Accounts Receivable Specialists as needed.
    • Directing workflow function for Accounts Receivable for separate entities and customers.
    • Review and distribute incoming billing.
    • Review daily bank deposits for accuracy.
    • Work in tandem with the billing coordinators on reporting and resolving open receivable balances from billed invoices.
    • Enter billing into Timberline as needed.
    • Assist in scanning Accounts Receivable documents to store electronically.
    • Assists other finance staff with various functions such as required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES : : :
    • Assist and interact with other divisions and perform other duties as directed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: :
    • General equivalency diploma (GED) or higher required.
    • 2 plus years of Accounts Receivable experience.
    • Supervisory experience helpful.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: :
    • Organized & diligent.
    • Knowledge of New York State sales tax helpful.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of the organization.
    • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes, and initiatives.
    • Proficient with Excel & Word
    • Experience with multi-company accounting and Timberline experience a plus.
