POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Accountant/Specialist is responsible for coding, entering, analyzing, and processing invoices and expense reports. In addition, the position will be required to easily adapt to a growing work environment and perform the assigned tasks and special projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing high-volume accounts payable invoices
  • Matching purchase orders, coding invoices
  • Producing AP sub-ledger and aging reports
  • General Ledger reconciliations for month end and producing reports for management
  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Coordinate accounts payable and finance department record retention maintenance
  • Assist with annual financial audits as necessary
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • All other Accounts Payable related duties.
  • Process Form 1099 Misc. and other government and Administration requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience as an AP Accountant or Specialist or equivalent
  • Must have QuickBooks AP experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong written communication and presentation expertise
  • Should be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work on many tasks simultaneously and must have the ability to prioritize responsibilities to cope with urgent and last-minute changes
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask are essential
  • Strong knowledge of Google Docs, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and QuickBooks
  • Prior Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
