Requirements:The Accounts Payable Specialist will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization and compile and maintain accounts payable records. The Accounts Payable Specialist will complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments and processing, verifying and reconciling invoices in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Functions

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks.
  • Distribute signed checks as required.
  • Prepare garnishment checks per reports from payroll.
  • Act as liaison between corporate and branch accounts payable departments.
  • Answer all vendor inquiries.
  • Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.
  • Assists corporate financial officers and branch personnel as necessary.
  • Prepare cleared checks for storage.
  • Assemble and process overnight shipments to additional Bethel Farms locations.
  • Assists in monthly closings.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
  • Perform filing and copying.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 2 years of Accounts Payables and/or Accounting Principles

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience

Physical Demands of the position:
