Lead Accounts Payable Clerk - Summary

NorthKey Community Care is seeking a full-time Lead Accounts Payable Clerk to lead and guide the accounts payable department in the processing of payments in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy in its administrative office location in Covington, KY. General work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m

Lead Accounts Payable Clerk - Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible to train and develop staff, giving staff direction, and providing a positive team atmosphere, including coaching and mentoring.

· Lead and guide other accounts payable staff, as the go-to person for the department.

· Assist the Lead Manager of Financial Systems with the month-end and year-end posting and coding of all checks other than payroll.

· Pay invoices in a timely manner, cut checks and EFTs weekly, and track late payments.

· Setup and maintenance of new vendors, complete vendor credit references, maintain IRS forms W-9s, and prepare and verify Form 1099 details. Also, answer all vendor inquiries.

· Maintain accounts payable files and records including scanning and keeping listings of all contracts, including verifying and reconcile statements, and running aging reports, as well as tracking authorizations and approvals.

· Perform other appropriate duties designated by the Lead Manager of Financial Systems.

Lead Accounts Payable Clerk - Qualifications

· High school diploma required, higher education preferred.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong office equipment and computer/software skills, including operating computers, telephone systems, scanners, copiers, etc.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Prior experience in Accounts Payable required.

· Proficient in use of PC and business software (in particular Microsoft Products, and Dynamics)
